With production credits ranging from heartfelt ballads to undeniable bangers, Sam Lawalata, AKA Sim Fane, knows how to tickle your earbuds and impact your emotions. The Dutch-Moluccan producer is a rising star, making his debut in 2020 with the 6-song instrumental EP Where She Lived. That same year, Sim Fane won Baauer’s Bop Battle with his Bop Battle Pack (receiving praise from Flume and Hudson Mohawke, among others) and released the maxi single 'closure', featuring Elijah Waters. In the Netherlands, Sim Fane has worked with a variety of national stars, including Bente, Joya Mooi, Hef and former Eurovision contender S10 (for whom he produced most of the songs on her new album). 2022 saw the release of the Apocalyps - EP by SIM—OJ, debuting as a duo with fellow Dutch-Moluccan, SIROJ. He also produced a song featuring Drake on DJ Khaled’s album GOD DID and released his EP 'Best Kept Secret' in January '23.
