1-O.A.K. born Brandon McFarland is a triple threat: vocalist, musician, and producer. 1-O.A.K defies traditional categorization. Influenced by a mix of his contemporaries and predecessors, 1-O.A.K has the soul and funk of Stevie Wonder, but the creative and progressive production style of The Neptunes. 1-O.A.K, represents the bridge between new school and old school with a bit of Oakland influence. “Riding in Cars with Girls”, 1-O.A.K's sophomore album, tells the story of a man “trying to find himself through the experiences he has and the choices he makes with the opposite sex”.
