MovaKween is a multi-dimensional singer-songwriter from Baltimore, MD, now based in Los Angeles, who represents divine feminine energy, a new inner-standing of consciousness, and a new expression of love. Combining genres, such as Neo Soul, Alternative R&B, Electronica, and Experimental Hip-Hop, she aims to create an eclectic lane all her own, while still paying homage to her musical influences: Erykah Badu, Meshell Ndegeocello, Lauryn Hill, Björk, and more. MovaKween’s soundscapes merge the arts, spirituality, and her afro-indigenous roots through her conscious, otherworldly lyricism and melodies. Mova’s healing and uplifting lyrics are inspired by her life experiences, such as overcoming trauma and depression and then finding peace, happiness, and her light within.
