Biography

Lagos born, Canadian based artist, Dr Duru. There’s a lot to say and most of it is in the music. Starting off, the pop rock and hip hop era of music in the 2000s were a different level of amazing, distinctive and perfect. I kinda grew up in that and then I started writing my own songs at let’s say 10. At 16 (ish), Canada seemed like a chill spot to go to uni, so I kinda found myself there. After which, the first song by Dr Duru was recorded. Really, I think I can say I’ve gotten a little bit better since then, that song is called Designer Clothes by the way, In case you wanted to check it out. I’ve put out a few more songs because I’m trying to show that the best thing is to just do what you want to do and don’t worry about if anyone thinks you’re rude or always angry or anything, just live. There’s a song I brought out called “wait” that talks about that exactly, but then if you listen to wait, you gotta play “like me” after and then just like maybe hit my Instagram (@duru_drd) or Twitter (Dr_Duru) and tell me which is better.
