Biography
Literally bandmates for life, Gabe, Bill, and Kyle have been making music together since 2010. As they navigate life together, this band of brothers have also grown in their songwriting, which can be heard in the subsequent evolution of their records. The Wonggoys’ debut album, “I’m Not Sure What To Say But I’ll Say It Anyway" was released in 2010, followed by “High Hello” in 2017, and “Organic” in 2022. The first album was tender and acoustic-driven pop, while their sophomore release explored elements of funk, R&B, and rock. Their latest album ties all their influences together, from folk and pop to indie rock and the 1990’s and early 2000’s era of hip-hop and alternative rock. As nature would have it, family has always been as a major source of inspiration for the trio. Their personal stories are woven into catchy melodies and clever lyrics, punctuated by their impeccable harmonies. The carefree energy the boys operate from is coupled by their refusal to be boxed in and limited to a single category of music, which is evident in their dynamic repertoire. Funny, heartwarming, and unapologetically fun, the Wonggoys continue to write songs that make you sing, dance, laugh, and let go.
