Biography

Danitsa is a Swiss singer known for her unique blend of hip-hop, soul, and reggae music. Born into a musical family, Danitsa started singing at the age of 10, performing on compositions of her father, Skankytone. Growing up, she was influenced by a wide range of musical genres, including soul, funk, hip-hop, and reggae, which helped her develop her own unique sound. 
 Danitsa first gained recognition with her debut album EGO, which won the award for the Best Act Romandie at the Swiss Music Awards in 2018. She then went on to tour extensively across Europe, performing at over a hundred shows. 
 In 2021, Danitsa signed with the prestigious Island Records label, which previously housed iconic artists such as Bob Marley and Amy Winehouse. This exciting opportunity allowed her to showcase her talents on a global platform, resulting in her winning a second Swiss Music Award. 
 In 2022, Danitsa's hit song "Captain" earned a gold record, further solidifying her position as a rising star in the music industry in Switzerland. She recently won the Red Bull Soundclash against the rapper Dimeh showcasing her exceptional musical talent and versatility. 
 Currently, Danitsa is working on her third album, which promises to be a musical journey influenced by collaborations and international experiences.
