Biography
Spanish blues and pop/rock band Los Maranones were formed in 1986 by friends Roman Garcia, Ricardo Perpen, and Miguel Banon, who were soon joined by Pedro Jimenez and Josias Pravia. After lineup changes, the band made their live debut in 1987, later participating in a compilation called Green 2 that was produced by Los Enemigos' Fino Oyarte. Los Maranones' debut album, Experiencia Negra, was released in 1989, followed by Quiero Bailar Agarrao. After touring the local club circuit, the group returned with 1994's La Revolucion, produced by Paco Trinidad. In 1995, Los Marinones had the opportunity to sign with Edel Records, issuing a self-titled album that same year. In December of 2000, singer/guitarist Joaquin Talisman decided to leave the band to start a solo career. ~ Drago Bonacich, Rovi
