Biography

Born in 1977, this Dutch artist is a very productive producer and soundtrack composer, whenever he is not working in his own studio he travels to different studios to record music. On a daily base Minco is a soundtrack composer and over the last ten years, he has created the soundtracks to Jaap van Heusden’s films, many of them have received international prices. Over the last four years Minco has been creating soundtracks to international films and docs mostly. From Sweden to the USA and from Belarus to the U.K. but with a sweet tooth for films from the East. Some of them are the Bosnian film ‘Regained Memory’ by Stijn Bouma, the Indian/Norwegian/French drama film ‘Once Upon A Time In Calcutta’ by Aditya Vikram Sengupta, the Honduran doc ‘Behind the Blood’ (IDFA) by Loretta van der Horst. More recently Minco created the soundtracks for ‘I am Durin’ by Valeriu Andriuta from Romania, the Georgian film ‘Drawing Lots’ by the late Zaza Khalvashi, ‘A Guide To Making Love’ by Helen Rollins (U.K.) as well as 'The Man From Rome' by Jaap van Heusden. Besides the soundtracks and together with the helps of befriended musicians like Svante Henryson, Audio Erlien, Oene van Geel, Iberi Choir and the Macedonian Radio Symphonic Orchestra, Minco has created his most successful soundtrack (KAVKASIA) so far. His last albums are those of the UNIFONY project (mixed by Phill Brown and mastered by Bob Ludwig), featuring Mathias Eick, Aaron Parks, Oskar Gudjonsson.
