Biography
Some call The 69 Boyz “The Dance Floor Doctors”, others call them "the Kings Of Bass", but without a doubt, they are true music Legends The 69 Boyz led by front-man, Van “Thrill Da Playa” Bryant (Jacksonville) and dancer/hype man; Barry “Fast” Wright (Orlando) have been breaking barriers in the Rap/hip-hop game since the 90’s. The 69 Boyz hail from the sunshine state of Florida; Thrill Da Playa is from Jacksonville, while Fast is from Orlando, FL. In 1994, the group partnered and went on to release their debut album, “199Quad”, led by the chart-topping dance smash single, “Tootsee Roll”. The album would go on to become a RIAA double-certified platinum album while “Tootsee Roll” reached number 1 on the Billboard Rap Charts. “Tootsee Roll” spent an astonishing 27 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 Charts, spending four months in the top 20 before finally reaching Top 10 success at #8. Tootsee Roll also spent seven weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot Rap Songs Chart and a record breaking 54 weeks on this chart in total making “Tootsee Roll” the longest running Rap Song all time in the history of the Billboard chart! The second single, “Kitty Kitty”, immediately followed and was certified Gold peaking at number 2 on the Billboard Rap Charts. In 1998 the 69 boyz released The wait is over" which produced another #1 billboard Rap chart single with "WoofWoof" and in 2020 will release their 1st studio album in 20 years "The Notorious Basss" that features the Hit single "MILFS"
