Biography
2019’s All We Are was the track to bring Sam Dickinson to public attention. The uplifting piano-driven pop song about equality and freedom brought him to the attention of BBC Radio 2, Spotify’s editorial team, and became Pride Radio’s longest-ever A-Listed song. What was meant to follow, which initially included tour dates with Alexandra Burke and Gabrielle, never came to fruition due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, this did not stop Dickinson from releasing the 2020 album ‘Off Script’. His new single, and the first at his new home, the global record label AEC Music, is Falling, a dance fuelled, club-inspired summer anthem in waiting. Taken from Sam’s upcoming album Collection: The Stories, due in late 2023, Falling is aptly released 10 years, to the day, that Sam’s debut album, The Stories That Occurred was released and hit the iTunes Top 40. Sam has been played extensively on radio, including the UK’s most listened to radio station, BBC Radio 2, with Graham Norton saying, “he just keeps getting better and better” and Sirius XM in the United States, who described his vocals as a modern Meat Loaf. He has experimented between soul, pop, and dance whilst continuing to be a staple on one of the UK’s most popular LGBTQI+ radio stations, Pride Radio. His writing credits include RuPaul Queen’s Manila Luzon and Choriza May. He has opened for The Falling and Louise Redknapp, as well as touring the UK.
