Biography

Ted Winn is a singer, songwriter, producer & publishing administrator who entered the music industry as one half of the duo Ted & Sheri. A native of Memphis, TN, Winn started playing piano & alto saxophone as a child. He attended Overton High School and participated in the school's creative and performing arts program where he was the concert choir president and the first sophomore to direct the gospel choir. After high school, Winn sang with The Voices of Binghampton. It was there he met Sheri Jones-Moffett and formed a duo. In 1997, Winn enrolled at Morehouse College and moved to Atlanta and began writing for the first Ted & Sheri project. They released their debut project, "The Healing Starts Right There'' on Church Howse Records in 2001. Ted & Sheri won Stellar Awards for Group/Duo of the Year & Contemporary Group/Duo of the Year. The duo moved to Word Records and released their sophomore project, "Celebrate" in 2004. The title track reached number 4 on the Billboard gospel songs chart. In 2006, Winn founded Veracity Entertainment, a publishing administration company representing songwriters. His company represents songs recorded by artists such as Mariah Carey, T. Pain, Big Sean & Jeremih. In 2009, Winn released his first solo project titled "Balance" with 3 Billboard charting radio singles. In 2017 Ted released his sophomore project, which also had 3 Billboard charting singles. On 11.11.22, Winn released his first original R&B single, "V".
