POEMA ARCANVS is a Chilean Doom/Death Metal band, they have the recognition to be pioneers in the local scene with their unique sound and style and one of the most influential bands in their home country and even South America. The band was founded back in 1992 by Claudio Carrasco (Vocals) and Igor Leiva (Guitar), they started to make some serious noise by the year of 1995 under the name of Garbage/Garbage Breed. By the year 2000 Luis Moya (Drums) has joined the band and the newest member Juan Díaz (Bass) just joined quite recently in 2018. Their initial faster/harder approach have eventually evolved -in a very natural manner- to a more melodic, heavier definite sound and style as Poema Arcanus. Several demos were recorded back then until their debut album “Arcane XIII” was released in 1999. After that, they continuously strive to create more intense music, and also to express their characteristic deep arcane poetry within the lyrics. The band did a tour over Europe for the “Transient Chronicles” album in 2012, they have played at “Dutch Doom Days” and “Doom Over Vienna” festivals besides many other dates in Germany, Poland, Hungary and Belgium. Their sixth full-length album is called “Stardust Solitude”, and will be released in early 2020 by Transcending Obscurity Records.
