Biography
Dzihan & Kamien were undoubtedly among the best-known and at the same time internationally most successful acts of the Viennese electronic scene around the turn of the millennium. The Viennese music producer duo hit the nerve of the times at the beginning of the 2000s with their equally refined and musically high-quality mixture of oriental-influenced downtempo, jazz and electronics and celebrated great success on their own record label Couch Records. Dzihan & Kamien became a real musical brand overnight, leading representatives of an atmospheric, elegant and at the same time danceable electronic sound, for which Vienna gained worldwide musical recognition. The debut "Freaks & Icons", released in 2000, was highly praised from all sides. Further sensational releases followed, such as "Gran Riserva", on which the producer duo said goodbye to pure sample work and focused more on the sound of self-recorded instruments. In 2010, the journey of the two came to a temporary end with the release of the"Lost and Found" album - a collection of B-sides and previously unreleased tracks. In 2021, Dzihan & Kamien announced the return after more than ten years with the album "IV". The journey continues.
