Biography
GRAMMY® winning Avila Brothers have crafted songs from Usher to Janet Jackson, architected launches for brands such as Beats By Dre, and have given back with partnerships with the likes of 1500 Sound Academy. They’ve launched their own label, Avila Brothers Music Group, in partnership with BMG. With global sales of Over 40 million records, they contributed to Usher’s classic album, CONFESSIONS, winning a GRAMMY®. They co-wrote and co-produced “Baggage” and “Can’t Get Enough” for Mary J. Blige’s THE BREAKTHROUGH, winning a GRAMMY® for “Best R&B Album.” They ignited tracks for Chaka Khan’s acclaimed epic FUNK THIS, garnering GRAMMY® Awards nods for “Best R&B Album,” “Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals” for “Disrespectful” (feat. Mary J. Blige). They also wrote and produced Janet Jackson’s DAMITA JO and 20 Y.O. Their discography also include tracks by Gwen Stefani, El DeBarge, Ice-T, Chanté Moore, Kenny Lattimore, Maurice White, and more. Meanwhile, they powered Usher’s Las Vegas Residency with music direction and as live performers. They smash boundaries like never before with the single “A Hard Working Man” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus and Snoop Dogg. The track strikes a bold balance between West Coast hip-hop, raucous country. They’ve worked with manufacturers such as Akai Pro, Logitech, and Yamaha, They are active on the board of FenderPlay, and they emphasize education through partnerships with Turnaround Arts Program created by Michelle Obama.
