Biography

Stormhaven is a progressive metal band founded in 2010 by Zachary Nadal (Guitars). He started writing a few riffs and called on Regis Royer (Keyboards). Alban Lemarié (Drums) & Jonathan De Freitas (Bass) joined the band shortly after. During the following year, the quartet tried to find a good singer to match the high standards of the band, but without success. Zach and Regis took it upon themselves to work hard and become the voices of the band, Regis with a powerful death growl, while Zach alternates between high pitched grunt and clean vocals, adding a progressive touch to the band's music. 2021 is like a new beginning for the band, as Thibault Faijan becomes the new drummer and Julien Badier the new keyboardist, also, a 4th album is ready to be released. Stormhaven's music is heavily influenced by Symphony X, Opeth and Enslaved, among other bands. It is a blend of several atmospheres, alternating from brutal, black or progressive ones, and different sounds in each song. Get ready to dive into a deep, dark and enthralling universe and wander in a variety of musical landscapes. Stormhaven has already released 3 albums : Mystical Journey (2014), Exodus (2017) et Liquid Imagery (2019). The fourth album, more accomplished, Blindsight, will be out on April 7th with M&O Music.
