Biography
Close Your Eyes had their roots in 2005 in Abilene, TX where Shane Raymond and Brett Callaway met and started searching for other musicians to round the line-up. They soon recruited Sonny Vega, Andrew Rodriguez, and David Fidler. In 2008 they released their self-titled EP independently and in 2009 were signed to Victory Records to record their debut studio album. We Will Overcome was released in 2010 and received positive reviews, with their debut single Song For The Broken going viral shortly after its release. Since then, the band has released 2 more studio albums, Empty Hands And Heavy Hearts and Line In The Sand, with heavy hitting singles such as Valleys and The End, while touring internationally spreading their own brand of passionate melodic hardcore around the world. After splitting up in 2015, the band announced a comeback in January of 2022 with members Shane Raymond, Sonny Vega, Andrew Rodriguez, Bobby Valeu, and Jordan Hatfield.
