Biography

While their music can most certainly be described as Post-Punk, members pull their influence from all different genres of music — helping them to bring an eclectic sound that is both catchy and heavy. In December 2015, Pleasure Venom released their debut EP entitled Hunt. It includes heavy riffs, dance-y melodies and strong vocals. Each song focuses on Campbell's take on love, sex, resentment and the absurdity of it all treating audiences to a fierce femme-punk-rock thunder, which encapsulates their identity as a band. In December 2017, the band released their second EP entitled Seize which is produced by Kana Harris of Xetas notoriety. The singers directorial debut “Seize” (released March 2018) and “These Days” (released June 2018) were both picked up to acclaim by AfroPunk. In July 2018, AfroPunk named Pleasure Venom as one of the Top 8 New Punk Bands on the Planet. The bands latest EP, Pleasure Venom was released in November 2018. The self titled EP is self produced by Pleasure Venom, Co-Produced and Engineered by Elliot Frazier of Ringo Deathstarr notoriety. In October of 2018, Campbell directed another video for their first single "Deth" which was released January 2019. May 2019, the band opened select dates for Garbage with a 2019 focus on touring and hitting the road with a UK tour. In 2020 the band began an album. In 2021, the first single "FASCIST" was released in January of 2021 with a premiere on AfroPunk of the song and lyric video. Stay tuned for more!
