Biography

Matt the Electrician is a quirky, sincere folk/pop singer songwriter based in Austin, TX. He has self-released 9 studio albums, and 2 live CDs since 1998. With his newest project, Matt gets by with a little help from his friends. Throughout 2016 and into 2017, he focused on a string of 7-inch vinyl singles. Every new release was a collaboration with a different artist who’d crossed Matt's path over the years, including the bluegrass band Wood & Wire (who appeared on the very first installment of the vinyl series), experimental solo musician Little Brave, The Deer and others. Matt regularly tours all over the world, playing theaters, festivals, clubs and house concerts, and is a fixture in clubs of his hometown, Austin, TX.
