Biography

Canadian born, Los Angeles based indie singer/songwriter/producer Marc Robillard began his career recording and producing other musical artists. It wasn’t until his skills as a producer and audio engineer became honed, that he decided to begin recording his own original material. While working at a well known music house in Toronto in 2005, he completed his first EP Paper Airplanes. Having some success with his intimate style and personally lyric driven songs, Robillard decided to keep writing and releasing his own music moving forward. As Marc’s success grew, he began having his songs featured in many television shows, films and tv commercials. A big turning point for Robillard was when he signed as a Hype artist with Extreme/MTV/Sony Music in 2011, since then Robillard’s songs has been featured worldwide on a much bigger scale. Marc’s tracks have hit the ground running with the recent re-invigoration of the adult-alternative indie scene. This cyclical road has again been freshly paved by The Lumineers, Fun, Ed Sheeran, and Of Monsters and Men. These artists and the like have been tearing up the charts and simultaneously breathing new life into the genre.
