Biography
The Naked Eye is the alias of London-based, French-English and singer-songwriter Francesca. Currently best known as 1/5th of the global female artist collective Her Songs with Marie Dahlstrom, Emmavie, Emily C. Browning and Dani Murcia. The Naked Eye offers vivid, nuanced songwriting, steeped in poetic intimacy that captivates the listener with her raw and honest storytelling. Growing up in Grasse (South of France), The Naked Eye’s inspiration roots from her love for classic singer-songwriters, Jazz, RnB, Soul, Folk, Brazilian and Alternative. ‘Brave Hope’ featuring Ruby Wood (Submotion Orchestra) and MOBO Award nominated Jazz guitarist and producer Femi Temowo, is the 2nd single taken from The Naked Eye’s newly released EP ‘New Eyes.' Earlier this year The Naked Eye performed a home editions, acoustic live performance of the 1st single ‘Emmanuel' for Mahogany Sessions & Chill. The ‘New Eyes’ EP follows 2020’s release of ‘Covers' EP and 2019’s ‘Love's Grave' EP with production by up-and-coming producer Conor Albert. Citing influences that range from the great singer-songwriters such as Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen and Nina Simone through to contemporary artists including Nai Palm, Lianne La Havas, Emily King, Corinne Bailey Rae, India.Arie, D'Angelo, Laura Mvula, Jono McCleery, Puma Blue, James Blake, Feist and Bon Iver.
