Easy Prey is a four piece noisy post-hardcore band from Austin, TX. They released a two song demo, then after some personnel changes, a mini album, Teeth and a 12” EP, Relentless Struggle. Relentless Struggle was released at the height of the global pandemic of 2020, with no shows and lots of free time the band started writing music for a full length. A friendship was forged with the team at HellMinded Records who agreed to release the record. By the end of 2021 the songs were ready to record, taking to the studio with Stuart Sikes in their hometown to track the full length. Four days of tracking, and enlisting help from Champ Morgan of local chaotic noise band BLK OPS to provide backs up on the song Empty and Tim Singer (Bitter Branches, Deadguy, No Escape and Kiss It Goodbye) adding a verse to Ethical Drift. Mixed by Stuart and sent off to Bard Boatright at Audiosiege in Oregon, it was then sent off to press. August 2022 sees the release of Unrest; an album of frustration, isolation, vitriol and countrywide unrest, touching on themes and topics that came to a head during the pandemic and social upheaval. These songs are there to provide a cathartic listening experience to those who want to affect change that benefits the majority.
