Biography

Manizha is a groundbreaking Tajik-born Russian artist with depth experience in song-writing (including English) and performing. Her eclectic art-pop style breaks genre boundaries uniting audiences with driving beats, folk-inspired rhythms and soaring melodies. Expect electro, synth and post-punk inspired tracks, all combined with traditional soundscapes and folklore-led melodies which take to another world – a world of freedom, equality and empowerment. Her song 'Russian woman' made a blast during the Eurovision song contest in 2021. 
 Manizha’s strong voice has also a pro-active approach to stand against domestic violence and LGBT+ discrimination. Manizha launched the app and then the foundation called SILSILA, which has extended its services to help female refugees and migrants. In 2020 she was named as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
