Acclaimed actress Isabela Merced cements herself as a budding talent in music with the release of her debut EP, the better half of me [Republic Records]. Comprised of five bilingual anthems that boldly break boundaries between cultures and genres, the project saw the 18 year old multi-talented artist collaborate with an A-list team of songwriters including Justin Tranter [Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber], Andres and Mauricio (“Despacito”), as well as producers Zach Skelton (Jonas Brothers), G.O Kings Bred (Latin Remix of Post Malone’s “Sunflower”), and her brother Gyovanni Moner, who is best known as producer Good Lunch. Isabela first made her mark in music in 2019 when she teamed up with Sebastian Yatra for “My Only One (No Hay Nadie Más),” generating nearly 50 million Spotify streams. She then released her solo debut single “Papi” which eclipsed 5 million Spotify streams, and crossed over 12 million views on YouTube. As an actress, she appeared in acclaimed films, including Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Instant Family, Transformers: The Last Knight, and Dora and the Lost City of Gold as the iconic title character. Most recently, she starred in the NETFLIX favorite Let It Snow.
