Biography
At the end of 2022 after a hugely successful year, Adelaide pop-punk duo TOWNS revealed their captivating second EP, ‘things you might feel sometimes’, which was released via Farmer & The Owl/BMG. Raw, honest, & straight from the heart – ‘things you might feel sometimes’ delivers seven tracks true to the duo’s hook-infused blend of 90’s pop-punk & Australiana they’re trusted for, whilst introducing both a softer side of their sound as well as a true punk track. The melodic yet mosh-ready melting pot of genres is an authentic, sonic representation of the rollercoaster of emotions (or things you might feel sometimes) – a theme the new EP is centred on. TOWNS spent a large part of 2022 bringing their electric live shows to Australian audiences, including supporting Beddy Rays on their national album tour, completing a sold out headline tour for their single ‘Speak For Myself’, a performance at the Pro Wrestling Australia event in Sydney, support slots for HOLY HOLY, Sly Withers, & playing the inaugural Harvest Rock Festival in Adelaide. The latest EP follows on from their debut EP ‘Television’, which when released in 2018, swept listeners off their feet from the first spin with its unique blend of 90s pop rock & Australiana. The success led to them supporting The Jungle Giants, Ruby Fields, WAAX, Dear Seattle, Turnover & more, playing a sold out co-headline tour with Teenage Joans, and playing Yours & Owls, Groovin The Moo, Falls, NYE On the Hill & Spin Off Festivals.
