Went down to the sea to watch the waves roll. There in the mist, I saw the witches dance. Their laughter rang free, their voices, so full, Spoke of enchantment. Soon I was entranced. The fire flickered as they moved around the ring. I seemed to understand as I watched them dance and sing. I still remember them, and to this very day I hear the songs they sang. I hear the songs they sang and played. I went down to the sea to watch the waves roll. There in the mist, I saw the witches dance. They beckoned to me, "Come, sister in soul! Join our enchantment. Come and take a chance." I saw their faces, and I heard the words they said. So much wisdom there, so much I'd thought was dead. And when the morning came, like mist they slipped away, But they will return. I know they will return someday. I go down to the sea to watch the waves roll. I wait in the mist, to see the witches dance. "Please come back to me, my sisters in soul, Share your enchantment; let me take a chance." And when they come again, they'll find me waiting there, All hesitation gone, my calling true and clear. And when the morning comes, I too will slip away. I'll join the world they weave. I'll join the world they weave someday! I went down to the sea to watch the waves roll. There in the mist, I saw the witches dance.
