Biography

The journey started in Kansas City, MO. Ampyx was a wee little lad at the age of 16 that had a burning passion for melodies and harmonies. After picking up a guitar at the age of 13, he knew what the rest of his life would look like from there forward. Driven by bullies and haters at his local high school, Ampyx would soon be considered that weird kid that always had his laptop making music in the middle of class. During the beginning stages of his career, Ampyx would have to endure pain and hatred from his classmates consistently encouraging him to stop "trying to make music" and that "Ampyx would never amount to anything", but that only lit the fire inside brighter than ever before. Ampyx creates music that pulls inspiration from early Pop Punk sounding melodies and progressions and warps them into a EDM/Melodic House twist. In January of 2018 his song Rise would reach the #1 EDM Trending page in Vietnam causing his song to go viral in Asia with millions of new views every month. With each release, Ampyx desires to hit the heart of each listener and attempts to express himself through the melodies that he writes.
