Biography
Meghan Patrick has always had both feet planted on the wild side. From her early days as a competitive snowboarder, to leaving home to pursue a career in country music, Meghan has always had a wild streak in her. The two-time CCMA Award winning Female Artist of the Year has spent the past year honing her singing and songwriting skills to a tee and the results are proudly on display on her latest recording, the six-song EP, aptly titled, "Wild As Me." Meghan co-wrote all six of the tracks on WILD AS ME, leading off with ‘Girls Like Me’, a defiant number in which she radiates confidence and a sense of bravado that immediately separates her from the rest of the pack, setting the tone for the record. ‘Chaser’ leans into its southern rock feel, displaying the edge and self-assurance with which Meghan lives her life. The song writing is top shelf throughout, from the no-holds barred passion of the first single ‘Wild As Me’ to ‘Praying Right’ in which the singer tries to strike a balance between sin and salvation. The melodies are rooted in traditional country but there is a pop sensibility to the songs that make them very radio friendly. “We did play around with some different vibes and different feels in all of the new songs, and although they’re still very much me, we used a little more modern programming in the post-production to keep things fresh, and to show a definite evolution in this record from the last.”
