Lance D Thompson Jr who goes by the moniker of Poetic Justice is a multifaceted creative, author, and artist who is pushing the boundaries of human perception and understanding of music and its facets as well as the ability of spoken and written words to change and impact the human psyche. Born in the south side of Chicago, IL he was raised in Calumet City IL. His artistry and creative craft are deeply rooted in pain and loss. After the passing of his ex-wife and a terrible break up he turned to writing as the vehicle by which to articulate and express himself. He initially began by writing poetry and books as well as self-help guides. His artistry evolved into music and ushered in the next chapter in his life and Poetic Justice would use the gift of intricate wordplay in a fusion of spoken word, music, and Floetry that he dubbed “Spoken Floetry” He is an avid admirer of the lyricism and legacy of 2pac, R Kelly, Tyrese, Snoop, Ice Cube, Charlie Wilson, and Jodeci and cites the icons as pivotal influences. He is fascinated by the concept of love and the impact that a love song can have. Poetic Justice has 7 projects his tenacity, perseverance, and determination to overcome adversity Poetic Justice will inspire generations to come and heal hearts through the stories of his pain.
