Biography
VAMPIRE rose from the eternal grave in 1911 ...or was it 2011? Time is not a concept among the undead. Along the barren coastline of Gothenburg/Sweden a demo recording appeared in 2012, often referred to as 'the real deal', selling a total of 1400 copies. The band made their first chaotic live appearances in Scandinavia the same year. Shows commenced in 2013 at Muskelrock, Nordfest, Close-Up Boat and Live Evil festivals, among others. Century Media Records entered a record deal with the band in the middle of their first album recording at Svenska Grammofonstudion. "Vampire" was released March 2014, followed by gigs at Fall of Summer (Fra), Black Flames of Blasphemy (Fin), Hell's Pleasure (Ger), House of Metal (Swe), Eistnaflug (Ice) and more. Drummer 'Ratwing' left the band in early 2015 to be replaced by 'Abysmal Condor', shortly before a studio session that turned out as the "Cimmerian Shade" EP released in the autumn. Early 2016 VAMPIRE embarked on a European tour with Tribulation and Grave Pleasures. Later that spring the band entered Studio Nacksving to commence the recordings of their second album. With Primeval Force was released in April 2017. A Swedish Grammy nomination gained the album publicity and the band had gigs around Scandinavia with Antichrist, Nifelheim, At the Gates and Paradise Lost along with select festival appearances such as Wacken Open Air in 2019. It's finally 1920 and... Vampire's third album "REX" is coming June 19 this year.
