Biography

Jesse Kendal, aka Kendl, is an Australian electronic musician who creates electronic music that instils a human aesthetic and natural, emotionally charged flow.​  Jesse's transcendent and ethereal style of music is created utilising a small collection of electronic and acoustic instrumentation from his home studio in Melbourne. An important part of his creative process is the recording of his ever-growing object/location sounds, which contributes to the tone and emotive nuances in his work. So much can be felt and expressed in just a few minutes and Kendl aims to share music that can instil a sense of being, connectedness and healing as he has found for himself on his musical journey. Since debuting in 2017 with his debut EP, 'Colours', Kendl's music has accrued over 9 million streams across Apple and Spotify and has been featured in Huffington Post, Magnetic Magazine, Dancing Astronaut and Indie Shuffle.​ 2019 saw the self-release of his split-single "Ella / Manyara", which received high praise on Triple J Unearthed and placed in the top 10 on Hype Machine Popular Charts and #43 on Spotify's Viral 50 Australia. 2020 saw another self-driven effort with his "Dreamlike" EP, receiving acclaim from StereoFox (BER), Our Culture (UK) and Purple Sneakers (AU).
