Biography
Spanish singer/actress Lolita became a professional performer at the age of 16, making her first record, called Amor Amor, in 1975, produced by Ruiz Venegas. She debuted on a popular TV show called Directísimo soon after. Daughter of local legend Lola Flores, Lolita was strongly influenced by her mother to pursue a singing career, even when she wanted to study medicine. In 1983, Dolores González Flores, her real name, got married to Argentine Guillermo Furiese. After losing her mother, her brother Antonio, and getting a divorce -- all of these in 1995 -- Lolita took some time off, returning in 2001 with a bolero revival album called Lola Lolita Lola. ~ Drago Bonacich, Rovi
