Biography
For nearly three decades, Samantha Mumba has been one of Ireland’s biggest female exports, celebrating success in just about every area of the entertainment industry. She’s a multi-million selling recording artist, graced the silver screen as an actress, appeared on billboards as a model and more recently, become a popular TV and radio presenter. Her music career began aged just 15, when she was signed to Polydor Records. Her debut album, Gotta Tell You, soon followed. Selling over 5 million copies worldwide, Samantha co-wrote most of the tracks - including global smash hits Gotta Tell You and the GRAMMY-nominated Baby Come On Over (This Is Our Night). Samantha currently holds a number of chart records - namely being the most successful female artist in the history of the Irish Singles Chart; having the most UK Top 10 hits than any other Irish female artist; the most US Billboard hits by an Irish female artist and being the youngest international female soloist to top the US Billboard Charts. As a live act, she’s supported *NSYNC on their Pop Odyssey tour, performed for the British Royal Family at the Royal Variety Show and more recently, wowed crowds as a headliner at Pride in London, Manchester Pride and Mighty Hoopla.
