Biography
P2, as he is known to his ‘Phans’, is Phil Pritchett, leader of Phil Pritchett and the Full Band. After starting his indie rock outfit in Austin, Texas in 1995, Pritchett has released 18 albums, all on his own label with himself as producer. A true “cottage-industry” musician, he is know for his livewire shows, thoughtful lyrics, eclectic albums and sense of humor. Pritchett was a unique voice in the burgeoning Texas Music/Red Dirt scene that began in the mid-1990's with acts like Cross Canadian Ragweed, Reckless Kelly, Pat Green, Jack Ingram, and others. His wedding of rock influences (R.E.M., The Police, Talking Heads, Elvis Costello, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, The Kinks) and his country influences (Willie Nelson, Robert Earl Keen, Johnny Cash) gave his Full Band a distinct sonic character and garnered him a large, loyal fanbase. Pritchett continues to write and produce his own music, as well as music for other artists, at his own recording studio in Fort Worth, Texas. Phans are always encouraged to call or email 817 733-5256 or phil@philpritchett.com to book the band or record at his studio.
