Biography

Swedish born Christian Smith is considered one of the original electronic music pioneers of our time. His label Tronic has been listed as one of the worlds top selling techno imprints, with over 20 years since its inception and over 250 releases. Tronic Nights now also runs alongside the brand, with Christian heading some special line ups around the world. In his early days, he released on labels including Plus8/Minus, Soma, Cocoon, Bedrock, Intec. His debut on Drumcode came in 2008, and then followed with his “Force Majeure” EP in 2016. Remix and collaborations have been with some of the best of the best for this relentless producer, including Laurent Garnier, Marc Romboy, Dave Angel, John Selway, ANNA and Harry Romero. With three solo albums under his belt since 2013, his latest was “Input-Output” in 2016, which was followed by an extensive 3 months album tour in over 20 countries, he announced in 2017 his very first collaboration only album “Synergy” which was released in October. Tracks produced all over the world with legends as well as new names to the industry can be found on this uniquely varied release. Christian kicked things off in 2018 with an EP ‘Count Zero’ with the fellow producer John Selway, a slammed touring schedule along with an extensive list of Tronic branded events.
