Biography

With pulsating synths, hypnotic harmonies, and neon energy, Satchmode brings heartbreak to the dance floor. The band is built around the songwriting of singer and multi-instrumentalist Gabe Donnay. Before Satchmode, Gabe studied neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania, but after graduating, the Baltimore native refocused on his passion for music and moved to Los Angeles to seek out new opportunities. Influenced by his years of study in diverse musical traditions—including classical training on violin and piano as a child, and later jazz, folk, and bluegrass—Gabe forged a unique style that continues to enchant. Over the course of two EP’s and the full-length Love Hz, Satchmode has landed five singles on Spotify's Viral Top 50 chart across 12 countries and earned critical acclaim from W Magazine, Dancing Astronaut, Marie Claire, and many more.
