Released in May 2023, Goodsin by Olivetheboy became the fastest Ghanaian debut single to ten million digital streams, the most shazamed song in West Africa, and the longest trend for a Ghanaian song on tiktok (2023), peaking at #3 on several major music charts on the continent. In July 2023, the star was named in an official list of the Top 5 hottest Ghanaian artistes of the first half of the year 2023. Born into a rich musical setting, theboy watched both his parents- and godfather- forge their own semi-professional music careers before honing his skills on the lively and competitive streets of Konongo- Ghana’s brightest music district today, and home to its reigning Artiste of the year and leading music export, Black Sherif. Born Joel Ofori Bonsu (October 19, 2002), Olivetheboy is a singer, songwriter and recording artiste of the Afrobeats genre.
