Biography

Flora Martínez is a Canadian- Colombian actress and singer best known for starring in films such as “Rosario Tijeras”, “Breath of life”, “Violet of a Thousand Colors” besides many succesful TV Series in South America. She debuted on TV at age 14. Her many hits made her recipient of several best actress awards in Colombia, Spain, France, Monaco. After 25 years of career, Flora returned to her first two passions: Theatre and Music. Her own theatrical production “Frida Libre”, in which she transformed herself into the iconic Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, in a very original musical monologue format, written, directed and played by herself. “Frida Libre” became one of the greatest theatre hits of the last decade in Latin America. After Flora´s debut album "FLORA" she recorded "FLORES PARA FRIDA" as a tribute to Frida Kahlo, where Flora gives a jazzy flavor to famous classic Mexican songs such as You Belong to My Heart - Solamente Una Vez among others.
