Biography

‘Sisters On Wire’ started their journey in the Lithuanian music scene in 2014. Since then the band established their warm and 'summerish' sound based on elements of indie rock, synth / dream pop, 80's electropop and atmospheric guitar music, sometimes calling their style a 'pop music with a guitar attitude'. Their debut album 'Never Turn the Lights Off' was out on 18th of November 2016. Singles ‘Roads’, ‘Parallel World’, 'Your Eyes' and 'You and I' were featured in several movies, TV programmes and had an extensive radio airplay in Lithuania and abroad. In January 2017 the band was nominated for Major Lithuanian Music Awards (M.A.M.A.) as a 'Rock Act of 2016' and a 'Breakthrough Act of 2016'. In summer 2018 ‘Sisters On Wire’ was an opening act for ‘A-ha’ concert in Trakai Castle. In 2020 the band started writing songs in Lithuanian. Their following singles 'Taip Jau Gavosi', 'Mėlyna Mėlyna', 'Ten Esi Tu', 'Paleisk Mane' and 'Keistas Pasaulis' received a huge listeners' engagement, millions views on YouTube and led the TOP charts of Lithuanian radiostations. In Dec 2020 the band was nominated for Major Lithuanian Music Awards (M.A.M.A.) again as a 'Pop Act of 2020' and "Mėlyna Mėlyna" - "Song of the Year". In Sping 2022 they went on a successful tour "Virsmas" across the main cities of Lithuania. Currently the band is working towards recording a new album and playing summer festivals.
