Biography
Morbo y Mambo is the perfect blend of groove, rhythm, psychedelia and dancefloor. An essentially instrumental band that never stops mutating, embracing genres with no prejudice, they can smoothly fit in a rock festival, a rave party, a dub night or even a jazz evening. Picture what could come out if you put LCD Soundsystem, Can and Fela Kuti in a blender. Wild, introspective and unstoppable, these Argentinian musicians pump out an incendiary sense of groove, inviting the listener to get lost in silky layers of sound. They have toured Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay and Europe, sharing stages and generating bonds with artists like Tame Impala, Tune Yards, 2 Many Djs, Oghene Kologbo (Fela Kuti & Africa 70) and Juana Molina, among others. "Muta", their latest release, features collaborations by Nick Allbrook (Pond), Andres Nusser (Astro, Karakoram) and Santi Motorizado (El Mató a un Policía Motorizado), widening Morbo y Mambo's imagination towards the singing voice world.
