Biography

Born in Singapore, Jaeden Camstra was raised between Shanghai and Houston during his adolescence. His unique upbringing prompted him to start exploring classic jazz, Houston trapstars, and Lil Wayne mixtapes. The now-21-year-old byproduct of Tumblr posts and technicolor cartoons draws his inspiration from furniture design and the jet setting lifestyle which was once glamorized by old Hollywood. Paired with explosive 808 drums and psychedelic influences, his music is the definition of calculated culture-clash. The timeless nature of Camstra’s sample selection, in tandem with his juxtaposed production style, creates an immersive audio experience for his listeners. Familiar, yet fresh, comforting, yet stimulating, Jaeden’s production is unequivocally himself, while speaking volumes for an entire generation.
