Biography

Lisbon born, now based in Leeds, 21-year-old DJ Danifox started making music when he moved to the UK in 2014. He made music as a hobby until he realized that it was his first love, from there he started featuring in other artists work like DJ Lycox and collaborating with Deejay Ary on Principe Discos release ‘Dorme Bem’. His style comes from Tarraxo, Kuduro and a bit of Lisbon ghetto: a mix of African percussion and electronic melodies known as “techno”. 
 For his debut EP, A Long Walk out June 26th on LA-based Point Records, Dani moves from Kuduro to house, producing and singing on the release. Best Be, the lead single from A Long Walk premiered on Spotify’s New Music Friday Portugal. 
 This promising young producer shows great versatility playing in dance music’s arena while mixing in genres of Lisbon’s and Africa’s underground. With shows on Mode FM and Wide Radio and a Principe Discos collab, DJ Danifox is the perfect ambassador to take Lisbon’s underground sound to a global audience.
