Biography
Deniz, a multitalented singer songwriter and producer, an improviser who pierces hearts with her angelic voice. Coming from Istanbul, carrying the authenticity in her voice and music, she builds bridges between R&B soul and traditional folk music in her unique way. She studied in Berklee College of Music with a full scholarship as a singer and electronic producer. She studied with some of the brightest jazz musicians of today such as Bobby Mcferrin, Tia Fuller, Greg Osby, Tiger Okoshi, George Garzone and many more, and earned their respect with her outstanding vocal range and singing technique. Her recent single which she composed music and lyrics of, "Neylerim” drew a remarkable attention with her Ghazal type lyrics and her devotional attitude, one remix of the song has reached 1Million views on YouTube. She won the “Best Performer”, and ''The best Singer-Songwriter'' Awards in Golden Dove Songwriting Awards which hosted and awarded the most prestigious singers and songwriters of Turkey through decades such as Cem Karaca. She recently performed as the opening act for famous oud player&singer Dhafer Youssef in Dokufest Film Festival, Kosovo; where she had great feedback. She is producing her own album, planning for her future performances in Europe.
