Biography

Caroline Wennergren was born in Rio de Janeiro and when she was 5 years old she was adopted and moved to Sweden. She started singing at a very young age and already when she was about 8 years her voice was very special; deep and warm with a distinct ID. Even if Caroline is a true carioca it isn’t the Latin American music that is closest to her heart – it is the jazz and soul she loves! That is the music she has listened to, been singing and been inspired of since she was a kid. One of her biggest sources of inspirations is Ella Fitzgerald! Caroline’s breakthrough came via Melodifestivalen when she participated with the song “A Different Kind Of Love” in 2005 – this means that she celebrates 15 years as an artist this year! In 2015 she entered the Melodifestivalen stage once more, with the song “Black Swan”. Caroline has toured Sweden in various constellations, has performed in several TV shows and she has released three studio albums of which two were tributes to her love of jazz music. For Caroline, music and lyrics have to be filled with soul & meaning!
