DJ Harrison, aka Devonne Harris, is a Grammy Award-nominated solo musician, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. His latest album "Tales from the Old Dominion” came out on Stones Throw at the end of 2021, featuring artists including Pink Siifu and Stimulator Jones, and has and has been praised by the likes of Tyler, The Creator, Benji B, Crack Magazine, The Vinyl Factory, Okay Player to name a few. The album was written as the Black Lives Matter protests of 2020 unfolded in America, and pays tribute to Harrison’s hometown of Richmond,VA: to the culture that gave root to gospel, blues, jazz and R&B, and to the thriving scene in the city today, where Harrison is a centre of gravity. DJ Harrison has created a vast catalogue of compositions under his producer moniker, including collaborations with Phonte, Steve Arrington, and Joyce Wrice. He has contributed to music for artists such as Jack White, Natalie Prass, Sherman Holmes, and Kurt Elling for the Grammy Award-nominated album “Superblue". Harrison is also a member of the band Butcher Brown, a “garage punk jazz funk” group who released the album "#KingButch” in 2020 on Concord.
