Biography
Mojeed Oluwakayode Amushan, best known by his stage name MOJEED, is a first generation Nigerian American rapper, songwriter, and record producer/executive. He is heralded for his Yorunglish style of Rap/Music, a perfect fusion of his native tongue in Yoruba and English, critically acclaimed as one of the best rappers/Storytellers/Songwriters in the world. His debut project “Westernized West African” was released in 2014 in partnership with Aristokrat Records, home of Grammy Award Winners Burna Boy and Leriq the producer. Mojeed collaborated with Grammy award winner BurnaBoy and Dammy Krane on the smash hit single titled “comment tu T’apelle”. He has also collaborated with notable acts, the likes of ShowDemCamp, Ladipoe, Seyi Shay and a countless others. In 2017, Mojeed released an EP titled “In Search of Higher Frequencies” including fans favorite “The Charm” featuring Tec, a half of ShowDemCamp, it took the rap scene in Nigeria by storm. Mojeed is considered as one of the pioneers of the alternative sound in Lagos, Nigeria. His versatility as a rapper, story teller, producer and more has carved a space in the hearts of many who still speak of his immaculate works till date.
