Biography
They are here to put the URF! Back in surf. Since 1998 this Danish/Swedish combo has been dishing out their cinematic surf infused garage rock on several albums and countless shows all over the globe. Drawing inspiration from the dark, sexy, inebriated depths of Americana The Tremolo Beer Gut concocts a quite unique cocktail that’s highly addictive once you get a wee taste of their Tremolophonic potion. The members all have backgrounds in other seminal Scandinavian rock and indie-pop bands such as Eggstone, The Raveonettes, Thau, Trains and Boats and Planes, Psyched Up Janis, Tothe International, Junior Senior, Heavy Trash etc. The TBG's 2021 album "You Can't Handle..." is the first studio album for ... ages, and true to their artwork lack of ageing, the band is in top form. It features guest appearances by a slew of the band's friends and collaborators through the years such as Evan Foster (The Sonics, Boss Martians), Sune Rose Wagner (The Raveonettes), Zombierella (Messer Chups), The Courettes, Jon Spencer and Cristina Martinez (Boss Hog, Pussy Galore, The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion) , Chris Barfield (Surf Believers, The Finks, The Huntington Cads) and others. A quirky fact: The artwork of The Tremolo Beer Gut releases always flaunts the excact same band photo by Jessica Tolf Vulpius rendering the members ageless through a couple of decades. A reverse Dorian Gray so to speak. Well, if you can’t fix it… don’t break it, eh?
