Biography

AGAINST is an Argentinian metal band. Founded on 2009 by Federico Gervan, Ivan Monastirsky, Sebastian Radrizzani and Gustavo Radrizzani, it combines a wide variety of metal subgenres. Thrash, groove, death, core, heavy are some examples of what you can find among the songs. In 2014 AGAINST edited, independently, their first album - "Soy Libertad" - mixing spanish and english lyrics in their compositions. Two years later, in 2016, they release "Emerger", their second album. Travelling across the country and neighbors - Uruguay, Paraguay, Brazil - they rapidly began to position themselves in the eye of the metal audience and press. Both albums became widely accepted and consolidated as a big promise in the local scene. In 2017 the band got selected to represent Argentina in the Wacken Open Air 2017 edition, as a part of the Wacken Metal Battle event. In August of 2017, AGAINST travelled to Germany to be part of the mythical festival Wacken Open Air 2017 During 2019 the band celebrated 10 years of existence providing multiple gigs across the country and crowning with their biggest show up to date on October 19th at Groove Palermo and editing their first live album 10 Años Llevando la Contra - Vivo en Groove (En Vivo) Currently, AGAINST is touring across the country and continent with their latest Nueva Cultura Pesada providing plenty and powerful live shows. Simultaneously the band is working on their 4th studio album and their next milestone gig: El Teatro Flores
