Biography

From Taiwan, SOLEMN has been representing melodic death metal since 2003, with members including the young, versatile vocalist, Tracy, the eye-catching drummer, Shiau-Yu, , and four other members. The band is also invited to become Taiwanese ambassadors for Zildjian, TAMA, Warwick, Schecter, Legator and more international brands. In 2009, SOLEMN’s first album, The Road to Reform, was mastered by the world-famous Jacob Studio, which also worked with bands such as Destruction, Heaven Shall Burn, Mervenary. Over the years, the band also shared stage with numerous bands, from international acts like As I Lay Dying, Exodus, Firewind, Norther, to well-known Japanese bands including Head Phones President, Each of The Days, In for the Kill, Exist Trace, and SoundWitch, touring across Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand. The band is also regular a stage act for Megaport Festival, Formosa Festival, WAKEUP Festival and many more iconic music festivals in Taiwan. SOLEMN released their dual album “Devastated Ruins” and “Krumlov Winters” in 2014, showing versatility by having both metal and acoustic albums at the same time. The band started its Japan tour with Head Phones President shortly after. With the young, new vocalist Tracy joining SOLEMN in 2018, the band celebrated its 15th anniversary with Blood Stain Child from Osaka, Japan. The band released their album "Oath in Blood" and then went on a Japan tour in 2019.
