Blue-eyed soul and classic disco as her forte, Rita Ray is a young singer and composer from Estonia. Known for her powerful yet touching voice, Rita Ray's soul-stirring live shows see her accompanied by a 4 to 8-piece band. While seemingly gentle, she's actually the strong femme fatale type singing from experience. Used to dig into 60’s soul artists since a youngling, she’s drawn her modern influences from The Dip and Amy Winehouse. Rita Ray released the 8-track LP entitled "Old Love Will Rust" on Funk Embassy Records in November 2019. The debut sold out two pressings, and was nominated for 4 Estonian Music Awards, including Best Album. "Old Love Will Rust" received critical acclaim locally and internationally, with reviews in the UK, USA and Germany. "Disco Stu" was added to rotation on The Craig Charles House Party on BBC 2. 2020 saw Rita Ray perform shows at Intsikurmu, Tallinn Music Week and sell out 2 shows at Jazzkaar.
