Biography

TAKEN is a Power Metal band born in Pamplona in 2013 and always made up of seven members: two guitars (Gauss, Iosu Núñez), two keyboards (Diego Trueba, DavidKBD), bass guitar (Dani Moreno), drums (Jon Huarte) and lead vocals (David Arredondo). Their first and self-made album “Taken” is released in 2.016, with eleven tracks. The album was mixed by David Díaz “Kolibri” (Marea) and mastered by Dennis Ward (Unisonic). Shortly after the band signs a distribution contract for Asia with the japanese label Spiritual Beast. Since then, TAKEN has performed in several venues and festivals in Spain, such as Leyendas del Rock (twice) and other well-known ones, and sharing stages with bands like Unisonic, Freedom Call, DGM and Mago de Oz. In 2018, the band was invited to participate in the Mago de Oz tribute album, covering ‘La Voz Dormida’ with a very good acceptance. Indeed, David Arredondo participated in the ‘Legado de una tragedia’ new album, with other important artists of the scene. "Unchained", the band second studio album, was launched on Spring 2019. Recorded with Iker Piedrafita and mastered by Jens Bogren (Fascination Street Studios), the album is putting the band back on track again all over Spain, including stops at some important festivals, like Rock the Coast festival (Málaga) and Bodega Rock (Valladolid). Taken is looking for additional dates in 2020, where they will be sharing stage with Freedom Call in their Spanish tour as special guests.
